Tyrone Hayes is not a household name. But it should be.
This biologist spent over 15 years researching the safety of an herbicide, atrazine.
Employed by the company that made atrazine, Tyrone Hayes defied his funders and followed the science.
The science (as opposed to the $cience, or the “psy-ience,” showed that atrazine is bad for wildlife. It’s also bad for humans.
This is why the powers that be BANNED its use in Europe. In 2003.
Despite the research Tyrone Hayes did, atrazine use widespread
What about in America?
Unfortunately, atrazine is the second most common herbicide used in America.
Second only to the highly toxic endocrine-disrupting chemical glyphosate. As a reminder, glyphosate is the main ingredient in Round-up.
If you’re interested in learning more about it, this article, “Should Humans Be Concerned About Glyphosate?” is a good place to begin.
Google and other search engines have censored this article, “Connecting the Dots: Glyphosate and COVID-19.” So you might want to read it.
When Tyrone Hayes defied his funders, they went after him with a vengeance.
As revealed during discovery in two lawsuits, the Swiss behemoth, Syngenta:
- Devised a publicity campaign to discredit him
- Hired an outside consultant to do a psychological profile to find Tyrone Hayes’s weakness to more effectively derail him
- Sent men to sit in the back row when he gave lectures to heckle him
- Tapped his phones
- Tried to own his name on the internet so their industry-sponsored falsehoods about him would come up on the first page of Google
Tyrone Hayes withstood the industry’s ruthless and relentless attacks on him. He has written and published dozens of peer-reviewed articles showing that atrazine is an endocrine disrupting chemical that feminizes frogs. In addition, his research has been replicated by other scientists in the field.
To learn more about Tyrone Hayes, head over to my Substack, Vibrant Life. My article over there, “It’s Not a Conspiracy Theory When It Turns Out To Be True,” details how what friends and family dismissed as conspiracy theory was actually a concerted campaign against an honest scientist.
