Congratulations to Emma Tekstra, who recently published her first book: How to be a Healthy Human.
The publisher?
Our much-loved Skyhorse Publishing.
Skyhorse Publishing publishes many books about alternative health, autism, and medical freedom.
One of my favorites is a memoir called An Unfortunate Coincidence, in case you’re looking for something besides the book by Emma Tekstra to read.
Who is Emma Tekstra?
Emma is a colleague and friend and, full disclosure, also a former client. In addition, Emma is a trained mathematician.
In fact, she’s worked as an actuary for most of her career.
Don’t feel any kind of way if you don’t remember what an actuary is.
An actuary uses statistics and financial theory to calculate the risk of potential events.
Now Tekstra uses that expertise to teach readers to do risk-benefit analyses about their own health and the health of their loved ones.
The book is fascinating.
In addition, even if you know a lot about holistic health, I guarantee you’ll learn something new.
As one reviewer writes on Amazon:
“This is a very helpful resource for anybody who wants to approach their health with their critical thinking skills intact. The author steps you through her journey in discovering how to obtain optimal health using some simple principles that anybody can apply. The book is worth the price for the appendix and resources sections alone. Very well researched, and it’s a page-turner too—I couldn’t put it down.”
Read more about the book over at my Substack. And subscribe over there while you’re at it, will ya already?
