For the first time the annual Ashland Author Fair is taking place at the Ashland Springs Hotel right downtown. In the past this author fair has been held on the campus of Southern Oregon University (SOU). But this year the fair is happening in downtown Ashland.
When: November 15, 2008
Where: Ashland Springs Hotel, 212 E. Main Street, Ashland, Oregon. Second floor (follow the signs.)
This local author event is always a lot of fun. It’s a chance for the community to come out to meet and support local writers. You may not be aware that there’s an impressive amount of talent in Ashland.
However, many famous and accomplished people live here. Still, you won’t find their names on Wikipedia. (Students take heed: Wikipedia is rarely, if ever, a source of accurate information.)
In any case, I’ll have a table at the annual Ashland Author Fair. This year I’ll be selling autographed copies of:
The Baby Bonding Book For Dads
Why Babies Do That: Baffling Baby Behavior Explained
Toddler: Real-Life Stories of Those Fickle, Irrational, Urgent People We Love
It’s a Girl! Women Writers on Raising Daughters (edited by Andrea Buchanan)
and
Hump: True Tales of Sex After Kids (a funny, lively, sex-positive book written by Kimberly Ford. Kimberly is an outstanding writer and a generous and brilliant person). I’m honored to have had the opportunity to work with her.)
So, if you live in town or anywhere within biking or driving distance, stop by and say hi.
p.s. Autographed books make great holiday gifts!

Oops, you may want to know that doors open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00. There are flyers in the lobby of the Ashland Springs Hotel with more information on them.
