About Jennifer Margulis |
| Jennifer Margulis is an energetic freelance writer who writes mostly about travel, culture, parenting, and large land mammals (and sometimes all four at the same time). She is also interested in politics, human rights, the environment, and health.
Her writing has won several national awards, including Best Narrative Nonfiction from the American Society of Journalists and Authors (AJSA) and she has published in The New York Times, Smithsonian Magazine, Wildlife Conservation Magazine, Military History Quarterly, Ms Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, as well as in Parents, Parenting, Wondertime, Mothering Magazine, Brain, Child, and on family.com. She has also published four books, two of which have won national awards:
In 2006-2007 she was awarded a Fulbright Teaching and Research Fellowship and spent a year in Niger, West Africa, with her family, teaching 19th century American literature at Niamey's Université Abdou Moumouni. She lives with her husband and four children in Ashland, Oregon. |
